Roland Allen working in conjunction with Pro-Care Builders. The brief from Oaklands College was to transform an existing first floor computer science laboratory into a (commercial kitchen/classroom) for up to 30 students.

The kitchen was designed by Roland Allen with gas and electric cooking stations, combi ovens, fryers and grills. There are teaching stations at each end of a 10 metre island with banks of prep space and sinks to each side.

Directly below this teaching kitchen is another teaching kitchen which doubles as a lunch time bistro for students and staff as well as a training capacity for evening functions. The whole project was completed on time and within budget and recently hosted the Junior Masterchef.
